I first saw the "Dome of the Rock" this week on an early morning jog in my new neighborhood. I was gawking at it profusely in amazement... until suddenly my reflexes took action. I threw my hands up to brace myself from running into a trash dumpster in the tiny alleyway. Thank goodness my eyes just happened to get off the Dome and onto the road just in time. Even more startled, as a cat jumped up out of the dumpster right in front of my face! ... what a lovely Dome it is.
